Whaleboat Point Matunuck, Rhode Island

“Whaleboat Point” is a handsome, Shingle Style house on a bucolic, waterfront site in South County.  Built as a summer cottage at the turn of the century, it was bought by the current owners from the original family who had made very few alterations since it was first built.  After exploring a number of options about what they wanted to do with the property, the owners hired Clifford Renshaw Architects to design an addition and renovation project that would give them the additional living spaces that they were looking for while at the same time retaining and enhancing the well preserved period character of the original cottage.
