Maddock Alumni Center Connector
Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island

This project involved the design of a connector between two significant historic structures, the Maddock Alumni Center, a Federal style residence built c.1830, and Nicholson House, a Gothic Revival structure built in 1879. The design minimizes the visual intrusion of the new construction through its placement and detailing, while at the same time providing new offices, a code complying means of egress, and handicapped access.
